Our Information and Assistance hotline aka Senior Link utilizes our large “Iris” database that has thousands of resources and serves as a starting point for seniors and/or their adult children to find information and access to needed services that can free seniors and their families from many burdens and stresses. We use the same database to create Senior Resource Guide, which we distribute throughout Placer County for free, and it has become a must have item for seniors in Placer County. Senior Nutrition Program provides social interaction and nutritional balanced noon time meals Monday through Friday. We provide the hot meals as well as a social atmosphere at 8 congregate meal sites or Senior Cafes for seniors who are mobile. Door to Door Rides utilizes volunteer drivers to provide transportation to daily errands or medical appointments. Health Express is designed specifically to provide medical transportation for the elderly or disabled and can accommodate for wheels chairs and oxygen tanks. Our Handy Person program provides free home modifications and safety repairs to those that qualify financially. Friendly Visitors program provides volunteer visitors who visit at least 1 hour a week with isolated seniors that need social interaction and also the volunteers serve as a resource for information and access to help. Assisted Living Placement does just that, we provide placement in assisted living facilities free of charge which allows us the unique ability to refer a senior to the best possible place for them. We also provide many Volunteer Opportunities that add so much to the lives of the volunteers and those they help serve. If you are searching for answers, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
