THE PLACER COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (PCAR) FOUNDATION CONTRIBUTES OVER $745,000 TO LOCAL NON-PROFITS SINCE FOUNDATION’S INCEPTION ROCKLIN, CA April 3, 2023- The Placer County Association of REALTORS® (PCAR) Foundation continued their annual commitment to community non-profits by granting $96,000 infunds towards local organizations and scholarships for high school seniors in 2022. To date, thefoundation has distributed an astounding 745,386.79 since its inception in 2011. Created in2011, the PCAR Foundation provides charitable support to local Placer County 501(c)3 charitiesthat provide food, clothing, shelter and/or mental health services as well educational scholarships for Placer County students.“As a professional association, PCAR has always been committed to helping the communities in which we live, work and play,” said 2023 PCAR Foundation President, Bill Evans. “We actively search out opportunities to give back and support those most in need in Placer County, and while we provide some funding, ultimately we are blown away by the incredible work that these groups do and are grateful for the chance to work with them. Additionally, I am so grateful to work with a group and industry that is absolutely dedicated to giving back to their communities, and look forward to continuing this legacy as our association grows and brings on new members” In 2022, the PCAR Foundation contributed to 18 local organizations including; ? Acres of Hope ? ASPIRE Kids ? Auburn Interfaith Food Closet ? California Careforce ? Compassion Planet ? Feed the Hungry of Auburn ? Gigi’s Playhouse ? KidsFirst ? Lighthouse Counseling Center ? Loomis Basin Christmas Basket ? Meadow Vista Friendly Neighbors Club ? Placer Food Bank ? Salt Mine ? Salvation Army Roseville ? Soroptimist of Colfax (Christmas Basket) ? St. Vincent de Paul ? Stand Up Placer ? Placer Veterans Stand Down In addition to donating to these groups, the PCAR Foundation also grants Placer County high school seniors with $1,000 scholarships. In 2022, the foundation awarded a record amount of scholarships with 24 student recipients. The application process for 2023 has recently closed, but be sure to watch PCAR’s social media platforms for information on the next application launch for 2024. “These students demonstrate what is so incredibly good about Placer County, the fact that they are our future makes me feel inspired and that we will be in extremely capable hands,” said 2022 PCAR Foundation President, Cheryl Keller. “Getting the opportunity to present these wonderful students with a token of our gratitude and encouragement for them to excel into the next steps in life, always brings a tear to my eye.
